Mercedes Perriam was born in Gibraltar in 1934. Her family were evacuated to Madeira during World War II. Mrs Perriam speaks about family life for a young girl after the War; The Bedenham explosion; and Gibraltarian culture. She met her English husband in the UK and lived there until returning to Gibraltar in 2013.
